1 out of 5 stars Don't buy this tea.   August 7, 2010

This is a ripoff. Don't buy it. Makes terrible tea. And if you're looking to get a buzz -- that's not happening, either.

3 out of 5 stars I found it uplifting and satisfying   July 5, 2010

I am torn between coffee and teas. I like green teas Japanese and Chinese. Someone mixed the coca tea with coffee that was a good buzz and tasted great. I also tried coffee with ginger tea. I can usually tolerate one to one and a half cups of strong coffee per day. The coca tea is a good follow throughout the day (2 or 3 cups). I am still searching for the right synergy. I plan to buy more coca tea. I'm no expert but I really like this tea.

Website states 50 ct, organic delisse tea. I was sent 23 bags (NOT 50) of delisse with no indications of it being organic. Hopefully I am reimbursed promptly.

1 out of 5 stars Caused me to lose job opportunity   April 10, 2010

Unbeknownst to be, this product is strong enough in its natural coca leaf form to cause you to test positive for cocaine use in a drug test. I just lost a job opportunity today thanks to my husband putting the contents of one or two tea bags in an eight cup pot of coffee in the morning and only drinking one cup per day. I am so disappointed. This is essentially an illegal product, so don't believe the literature out there that says that coca in its natural form is different from the processed form and therefore not a drug. You will test positive for cocaine use. BEWARE!

5 out of 5 stars Safety Instructions for coca tea   March 26, 2010

All NovoAndina Products ( produced or distributed ) do not have a paper wraps since they can harbor dirt and bacteria and the printing ink can change or contaminate the delicate flavor of the tea bags.
NovoAndina products do not contain preservatives or additives; therefore they must be properly stored. All our Air Tight Bags are re-sealable with zip lock closures and once opened the bags must be kept closed at all time to avoid contamination in a dry, cool, dark place away from strong-flavored foods. An extra airtight container is recommended when the tea is stored over one month.
Do not store NovoAndina products inside a refrigerator if you have produce inside. Many fruits and vegetables, especially if they have been damaged, give off ethylene gas as they ripen. Our teas are very sensitive to the presence of even very low levels of ethylene gas. The refrigerator acts as a trap for the ethylene gas given off by the generating varieties, allowing it to build up to damaging levels. Although not hazardous to humans, the ethylene gas leads to the early aging and rotting of the tea.
